Soldier Mountain Ranch Cross Country Skiing

The 43rd most popular XC Ski in Idaho.

East of Boise near Fairfield, the Soldier Mountain Ranch has 8.8km of nordic ski trails groomed on their golf course.

To reach the cross-country skiing trailhead from Boise, follow I-84 East to Mountain Home Exit 95 (Sun Valley/Fairfield). Take the Mountain Home Exit 95 (Sun Valley/Fairfield), and turn left heading East on highway 20 to Fairfield. Travel 54 miles to Fairfield. Turn left, North on Soldier Road and travel through Fairfield 2 miles to 4-way intersection.

Turn left, West on baseline road (dirt) and travel 4.5 miles to Soldier Mountain Ranch sign. At the sing turn right, north, and travel 2.5 miles (passing under white crossbuck over the road). Welcome to the Ranch. The office is located in the white house with green trim.

Overall, Soldier Mountain Ranch is the 43rd most popular cross country ski area of all 43 Nordic ski destinations in Idaho.
