West of Penticton, the Nickel Plate Nordic Centre has 56km of groomed cross country ski trails for classic and skate skiing. The trails are rated as 70% easy (green), 20% intermediate (blue), and 10% difficult (black).

The centre is located 42km west of Penticton. To reach the Centre from north or south of town, take the Chanel Parkway. Turn on to Green Mountain Rd, This turn off has a bridge crossing the chanel, immediately followed by a Super Save Gas station.

Follow Green Mountain Road for approximately 22km. Turn right at the intersection (Apex Guest Ranch) and drive another 17km to Nickel Plate.

Once on Green Mountain Road there will be very few signs & no street lights,

dont worry, you are on the right road! These roads are paved and kept in very good condition. Plowing and Sanding is done continually as weather conditions require. Chains are generally not required, but good winter snow tires are needed Oct to April.

Overall, Nickel Plate Nordic Centre is the 54th most popular cross country ski area of all 56 Nordic ski destinations in British Columbia.
