East of Steamboat Springs near the ski mountain, the Steamboat cross-country ski area has 15km of groomed trails to explore. The tracks are groomed for both classic and skate skiing, and they wind through both meadows and aspen groves within the Yampa Valley.
To reach the Steamboat Ski Touring Center from downtown Steamboat Springs, head east on US40 to Mt Werner Road. Turn left heading east on Mt Werner Road. After roughly 0.25 miles, turn right on Steamboat Boulevard. The ski center is at the second right and there are signs. It is located at 2000 Clubhouse Drive in Steamboat Springs

Overall, Steamboat Ski Touring Center is the 45th most popular cross country ski area of all 52 Nordic ski destinations in Colorado. Several of the better cross country ski trails are nearby Steamboat Ski Touring Center including Rabbit Ears Pass, Buffalo Pass / Soda Mountain, Gore Pass Loop, Vista Verde Ranch, Dunckley Pass Ski Trails and Lake Catamount Touring Center.
