Disentis Cross Country Skiing

South of Zurich and northeast of Andermatt, the Disentis area has 15km of cross country ski trails along the Rhine. The cross country ski trail is a point to point route linking Disentis with Trun and Sumvitg The route descends 400m along the way. It is groomed for classical and skate skiing.

The remote village of Disentis is high in the Rhine Valley and the ethnic minority inhabiting the town mainly speak Romansch. Its about a three hour train ride from Zurich.
