North of Flagstaff in the Coconino National Forest, the Flagstaff Nordic Center has over 40km of groomed cross country ski trails. There are roughly a dozen nordic trails in the system ranging from easy to difficult. The trail elevation ranges from 8,000 feet up to 8,340 feet.

To reach the cross country skiing at the Flagstaff Nordic Center from Flagstaff, head north on US180 to mile marker 232.

Overall, Flagstaff Nordic Center is the 11th most popular cross country ski area of all 11 Nordic ski destinations in Arizona. Several of the better cross country ski trails are nearby Flagstaff Nordic Center including Mormon Lake Ski Touring Center and Arizona Trail - Kaibab Plateau Trail.
