Kaiserwinkl Cross Country Skiing

The 8th most popular XC Ski in Austria.

West of Salzburg, the Kaiserwinkl area has over 80 miles of cross country ski track. The system is composed of three interconnected circuits branching from the towns of Schwedt, Kossen and Walchsee.

To reach this area from Salzburg, follow Route 215 west through Germany. Near Lofer, head west on Route 704 and then head southwest on Route 312. Near St. Johann, head north on Route 176 to Kaiserwinkl.

Overall, Kaiserwinkl is the 8th most popular cross country ski area of all 16 Nordic ski destinations in Austria.
