Athabasca Falls System Cross Country Skiing

The 12th most popular XC Ski in Alberta.

South of Jasper townsite on Icefields Parkway (Hwy 93), the Athabasca Falls System has 31km of groomed cross country ski trails on level terrain with views of the Fryatt Range. The trails follow unplowed sections of Highway 93A and a side trail leads to Moab Lake.

The trailhead is located 30km south of Jasper.

For some night skiing, check out the 4.5 km Whistlers Campground Trail off Hwy 93.

Overall, Athabasca Falls System is the 12th most popular cross country ski area of all 37 Nordic ski destinations in Alberta.
