Wapta Falls Cross Country Skiing

Between Golden and Field off the TransCanada Highway, the cross country ski trail runs 4.1 km up to the spectacular frozen Wapta Falls. The first 1.6 km are along a closed access road before continuing on a hiking trail.

Overall, Wapta Falls is the 22nd most popular cross country ski area of all 56 Nordic ski destinations in British Columbia. Several of the better cross country ski trails are nearby Wapta Falls including Amiskwi Trail, Emerald Lake Loop Trails, Ice River Trail, Lake O'Hara Trail, Ottertail Trail and Yoho Valley.
