Stokely Creek Ski Touring

The 10th most popular cross country ski area in Ontario.

Located northeast of Sault Ste. Marie near Goulais River, the Stokely Creek area has 25 trails totalling 135km of well-marked groomed trails over 12,000 acres of wooded pine/birch valleys and frozen lakes on the Algoma Highlands. Many loops can be constructed for a total of 380km of cross country skiing trails! The trails roll through hardwood forests near creeks and waterfalls.

To reach the cross-country skiing trailhead from Sault Ste Marie, head north on Highway 17 for 30km. Turn right on Mahler Road for 1 block. Turn on Rickard Road for 3km.

Overall, Stokely Creek Ski Touring is the 10th most popular cross country ski area of all 48 Nordic ski destinations in Ontario.
