Northeast of Toronto near Newcastle, the 11,000 acre Ganaraska Forest covers the Oak Ridges Morraine and has one of the most extensive trails in southern Ontario. There are 6 trails totaling 35km of groomed cross country ski trails.

To reach the Centre from Oshawa, follow Route 401 east to Route 35/115. Head north to Kirby and then east onto Durham Road for 10 km to Kendal. Look for the road to the Centre on the north side.

Overall, Ganaraska Forest is the 14th most popular cross country ski area of all 49 Nordic ski destinations in Ontario. Several of the better cross country ski trails are nearby Ganaraska Forest including Bruce Trail, Durham Forest, Northumberland County Forest, Mansfield Outdoor Centre, Pinery Provincial Park and Dundas Valley Conservation Area.
