Haliburton Forest Cross Country Skiing

The 20th most popular XC Ski in Ontario.

Near West Guilford, the private 50,000 acres Haliburton Forest has over 300 km of backcountry trails with over 80 km groomed for nordic skiing. It is located just south of Algonquin Provincial Park. . Look out for moose, fox and black bear. Check out the Pass Trail, Lookout Trail and the Normac Trail. There is a $25 user fee.

To reach the cross-country skiing trailhead from Toronto, follow Route 11 north to Route 118. Head east on Route 118 into West Guilford. Go north on CR7 toward Kennisis Lake for 15 km. The entrance is on the right.

Overall, Haliburton Forest is the 20th most popular cross country ski area of all 48 Nordic ski destinations in Ontario.
