Megeve Cross Country Skiing

The 5th most popular XC Ski in France.

Southeast of Geneva in the French Alps, the old village of Megeve has 43km of cross-country ski trails nearby through fir and broad leave forests shadowed by alpine peaks. The Megeve ski du fond trails are marked and roll through varied terrain.

The trails are divided into four regions. The Plaine D Arly area has 2 trails (6km). The Mont D Arbois area has 2 trails (14km) through the moderate terrain of the Mont dArbois Plateau with terrific views of Mont Blanc. The Cassioz area has one trail (8km). Lastly, the La Livraz area has 5 trails (14km).

The town of Megeve is known for its charming medival town centre. It's not known for apres ski action or nightlife.

To reach the nordic skiing at the Megeve ski domaine by air, fly into Geneva. Take the train to Sallanches and use the hourly bus 12km to Megeve.

Overall, Megeve is the 5th most popular cross country ski area of all 19 Nordic ski destinations in France.
