Southeast of Zurich and west of Chur, the Flims region has plenty of cross country ski trails to explore. The Flims-Trin nordic center has 17km trails groomed for classic and skate skiing. The trails start at the Prav Davon Cross Country Centre located just south of town. There are also 3km of trails lit in the evening on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
The Flims-Trin trail system is part of a 55km trail network that interconnects the towns of Bargis, Flims, Trin Mulin and Sagogn, each of which operates a nordic center. The tracks are groomed for both classical and skate skiing. The trail network is accessed using public transport by both the Postauto Grabunden and Flims-Laax-Falera shuttle.
To reach the cross-country skiing in the Flims from Zurich by car, head southeast on Route A3 and then south on Route A13 to Bonaduz. Turn west on Route 19 to Flims.
Overall, Flims - Trin is the 2nd most popular cross country ski area of all 22 Nordic ski destinations in Switzerland.
