North of Mammoth Lakes, the National Forest maintains 3km of ungroomed cross country ski trails at June Lake Junction.

The trailhead is located north of Mammoth on US395 at June Lake Junction.

Overall, June Lake Junction is the 13th most popular cross country ski area of all 38 Nordic ski destinations in California.
