Tamarack Cross-Country Ski Center

Southwest of Mammoth Lakes in the eastern Sierras, the Tamarack Cross-Country Ski Center is one of the more popular local areas with 30 km of tracks. Located at 9,000 feet, the trails wind through forest and by lakes, and they are groomed for classical and skate skiing.
Tamarack is located 2.5 miles up Lake Mary Road from the town of Mammoth Lakes, which is on SR395.
Overall, Tamarack Cross-Country Ski Center is the 7th most popular cross country ski area of all 36 Nordic ski destinations in California. Several of the better cross country ski trails are nearby Tamarack Cross-Country Ski Center including Deadman Summit / Obsidian Dome, Rock Creek Lodge, Sierra Meadows, June Lake Junction, Knolls Trail and Red Cone Trail.
