Shrine Pass Trail Cross Country Skiing

The 8th most popular XC Ski in Colorado.

Starting from Vail Pass, the Shrine Pass Trail is a popular backcountry ski trail (11 mi.) over the pass to the town of Redcliff. The one-way trek starts at Vail Pass (10,600) with a 2 mile climb up to Shrine Pass (11,090 ) before descending for the last 9 miles into Redcliff (8,700). The route follows old Shrine Pass Road and Turkey Creek through Spruce-Fir forests and open meadows above the tree line.

Overall, Shrine Pass Trail is the 8th most popular cross country ski area of all 58 Nordic ski destinations in Colorado.
