Fourth of July Pass Cross Country Skiing

The MOST popular XC Ski in Idaho.

East of Couer d'Alene in the Panhandle National Forest, the Fourth-of-July Pass area has over 25 km of cross country skiing trails groomed weekly. The system consists of three loop trails that wind through beautiful cedar and other coniferous trees.

The trailhead is located 10 miles east of Couer d Alene off US 90, and a Idaho Park-N-Ski sticker is required.

To reach the cross-country skiing trailhead from the intersection of Business I-90 and I-90 in Coeur dAlene, go east/south on I-90 for 13.5 miles. Parking is on the right at the 4th of July Park N Ski.

Overall, Fourth of July Pass is the 1st most popular cross country ski area of all 43 Nordic ski destinations in Idaho.
