Near Worthington in the Berkshires, the Hickory Hill Ski Touring Center has 27 km of tracks groomed for both classical and skate skiing.

To reach the cross-country skiing trailhead from North Hampton at Exit 19 of US91, head west on SR9 for about 20 miles. Near Cummington, turn south on SR112 for 6 miles into Worthington. From the lights at the intersection of Rte. 112 and Rte. 143 in Worthington Center, take Buffington Hill Road about 1 mile west. There is a sign for Hickory Hill at the lights.

Also nearby, the Swift River Inn maintains 23 km of well-designed groomed trails.

Overall, Hickory Hill XC is the 1st most popular cross country ski area of all 21 Nordic ski destinations in Massachusetts. Several of the better cross country ski trails are nearby Hickory Hill XC including Bucksteep Manor, Butternut Cross Country, Mount Graylock State Reservation, Beartown State Forest, Maple Corner Farm and Notchview ReservationCanterbury Farm Ski Area.
