On the Upper Peninsula south of Munising in the Hiawatha National Forest, the Brunos Run Trail is a seven mile track winding past many small lakes etched into a relatively young glacial plain. This local favorite runs by old growth hemlocks and over foothills offering overlooks into the valley.

To reach the cross-country skiing trailhead from SR 28 in Munising, head south on FS13 for 11 miles. Park at the Moccasin Lake Picnic Area and pickup the trail just to the south.

Overall, Brunos Run Trail is the 5th most popular cross country ski area of all 49 Nordic ski destinations in Michigan. Several of the better cross country ski trails are nearby Brunos Run Trail including Grand Marais Cross-Country Ski Trail, Munising Cross-Country Ski Trail, North Country Trail, Valley Spur Cross-Country Ski Trail and Mckeever Hills Cross Country Ski Trail.
