Ge-Che Trails Cross Country Skiing

The 11th most popular XC Ski in Michigan.

On the Upper Peninsula northwest of Iron River, the Ge-Che Hagerman-Brule Cross Country Ski Trails are a 9 mile network of groomed tracks near Lake Ottawa. There are 2.5 miles of expert trail, while the rest is beginner. To reach the trailhead from Iron River, follow US 2 west to SR 73. Head southwest on SR73 to Ottawa Lake Road. The parking area is on Ottawa Lake Road. Also nearby, check out the George Young Nordic Center (a.k.a. Iron River Nordic) with 25 km of groomed trails.

Overall, Ge-Che Trails is the 11th most popular cross country ski area of all 49 Nordic ski destinations in Michigan.
