On the Upper Peninsula northeast of Munising, the Munising Cross-Country Ski Trail is a 10+ mile network of groomed trails. The trails wind through beautiful landscape of beech, maple, hemlock, pine and spruce trees on sandy uplands and rugged hills. The trails vary from easy to difficult.

To reach the trailhead from Munising, follow CR58 west past the Munising Falls Interpretive Center. Parking is on the left (north) side of the road.

Overall, Munising Cross-Country Ski Trail is the 19th most popular cross country ski area of all 47 Nordic ski destinations in Michigan. Several of the better cross country ski trails are nearby Munising Cross-Country Ski Trail including Brunos Run Trail, Grand Marais Cross-Country Ski Trail, North Country Trail, Mckeever Hills Cross Country Ski Trail and Valley Spur Cross-Country Ski Trail.
