North Arm Trails Cross Country Skiing

The 9th most popular XC Ski in Minnesota.

Located northwest of Ely in the Superior National Forest, the North Arm trail system has an extensive network of ski trails in variety of assorted loops.

To reach the cross-country skiing trailhead from Ely, head north on the Echo Trail (CR116) for 11 miles. Turn left heading west on North Arm Road (CR644) for 4 miles to the trailhead parking area.

Overall, North Arm Trails is the 9th most popular cross country ski area of all 39 Nordic ski destinations in Minnesota.
