Southeast of Bozeman and west of Red Lodge in the Beartooth Mountains, the Red Lodge Nordic Area offers 15 km of cross country skiing trails in 3 loops, groomed weekly. This a warm-up for when youre ready to tackle the wild and the extreme on the Line Creek Plateau Trail which runs the plateau at 10,000 . Or check out the tamer Silver Run area (11 km - five miles west of Red Lodge) or Lake Fork area (7 km - 10 miles south of Red Lodge).

Overall, Red Lodge Nordic Area is the 10th most popular cross country ski area of all 37 Nordic ski destinations in Montana.
