East Foothill Trail Cross Country Skiing

The 4th most popular XC Ski in Montana.

Near Condon south of Kalispell, the East Foothill Trail (#92) is a great 6 mile one-way route on the western flank of the Swan Mountain Range. The north trailhead is at the Cooney Lookout on FS560 and the southern trailhead is at Holland Lake on FS44. While the Holland Lake Lodge rents equipment, they may not be grooming this trail. To reach the cross-country skiing trailhead from Kalispell, head south on SR 83 to Condon. Turn left on FS44 heading east to the end. Sections of this route may be groomed by the Lodge.

Overall, East Foothill Trail is the 4th most popular cross country ski area of all 37 Nordic ski destinations in Montana.
