Southeast of Littleton and east of Twin Mountain, the Bretton Woods Nordic Center has 100 km of cross country ski trails in the spectacular mountain scenery under the shadow of Mt. Washington. The trails through glades of spruce and fir are groomed for skate and classic in-line and offer vistas dominated by the Presidential Range. The trail system is divided into three trail regions: Stickney Trail Systems, Deception Trail System and the Ammonoosuc Trail System. For the most part, the trails are easy or moderate. There are both a shelter and a warming hut on the trail system.

Check out the backcountry Ammonoosuc Spring Trail to an overnight cabin. Bretton Woods is located on US302 between Twin Mountain and North Conway.

To reach the cross country skiing at Bretton Woods Ski Area from the south, head north on US93 over Franconia Notch to Exit #35. Veer right heading northeast and follow Route 3N to Twin Mountain. Turn right heading east on SR 302E to Bretton Woods.

Overall, Bretton Woods Nordic Center is the 2nd most popular cross country ski area of all 26 Nordic ski destinations in New Hampshire.
