Frost Valley YMCA Cross Country Skiing

The 8th most popular XC Ski in New York.

Near Claryville in the Catskill Forest Preserve, the Frost Valley Ski Center has 40 km of trails, with 30 km groomed, on 4,500 acres of forest. Plan for some snowshoeing and ice fishing while in the area. Also, check out the 35 km of groomed track at nearby Mountain Trails Cross-Country Ski Center in Tannersville.

To reach the trailhead from Liberty, follow Route 55 east ten miles to Curry. Look for sign on the left side of the road marked "Claryville." Turn left onto County Road 19 and go four miles to Claryville. Look for sign on right side of road marked " Frost Valley ." Turn left onto County Road 157 (it becomes County Road 47) and drive seven miles to Frost Valley West Valley of the Neversink facilities.

Overall, Frost Valley YMCA is the 8th most popular cross country ski area of all 61 Nordic ski destinations in New York.
