Buzzard Swamp Loop Cross Country Skiing

Southwest of Marienville, the Buzzard Swamp Wildlife Area has a 9.6 mile system of interconnecting trails for hiking, mountain biking and cross country skiing around 15 man-made ponds. This is a very scenic area gentle rolling through forest and meadows.
Two trailheads provide access to the area. The southern trailhead is located on Forest Road 157, 1 mile south of Marienville on Loleta Road. The northern trailhead is located on Forest Road 376, 2.5 miles east of Marienville on Lamonaville Road.
Overall, Buzzard Swamp Loop is the 7th most popular cross country ski area of all 35 Nordic ski destinations in Pennsylvania. Several of the better cross country ski trails are nearby Buzzard Swamp Loop including Clarion/Little Toby Creek Trail, Brush Hollow Ski Trail, Laurel Mill Ski Trail, Westline Ski Trail, Deerlick Ski Trail and Hearts Content Ski Trail.
