Ohiopyle State Park Cross Country Skiing

The 4th most popular XC Ski in Pennsylvania.

Southeast of Pittsburgh near Ohiopyle on Sugarloaf Mountain, look for 34 miles of rocky, hilly skiing. The Sproul Trails and a section of the Kentuck Trail were created for cross-country skiing. With deep snowfall, the Youghiogheny River Trail is good for cross-country skiing.

To reach Ohiopyle State Park from the PA Turnpike, take Exit 9, Donegal. Turn left on Rt. 31 east. Travel about two miles, turn right onto Rts. 711 and 381 south. Travel ten miles to Normalville (first stop sign), turn left onto Rt. 381 south for 11 miles to Ohiopyle.

Overall, Ohiopyle State Park is the 4th most popular cross country ski area of all 35 Nordic ski destinations in Pennsylvania.
