Starting from Randolph in the White River Valley, the 22.5 mile MCRL climbs right out of town to the summit of Mount Cushman at 2,750. Then the cross country ski route snakes along a wooded ridgetop.

While in the area, check out the Maple Ridge Sheep Farm Loop (9 mi.) and the Mud Pond Loop (12 mi.) which both start from town, the 50 mile Circus Ride with over 4000 feet of vertical, and also the Woodstock Ski Touring Center (60 km).

Overall, Mount Cushman Ridge Loop is the 17th most popular cross country ski area of all 29 Nordic ski destinations in Vermont.
