Near Trout Lake, there are several cross-country ski trails worth exploring.

To reach the Snow King Sno Park from the intersection of Mount Adams Rd (NFD 23) and SR 141 in Trout Lake, go north on Mount Adams Rd. Travel 1.35 miles to where the road branches, stay right on Mount Adams Rd. Go another 3.25 miles to a right on NFD 82. Travel 1.6 miles to Snow King Sno Park.

Overall, Mount Adams XC Ski Trails is the 2nd most popular cross country ski area of all 16 Nordic ski destinations in Washington.
