Between Syracuse and Watertown near Redfield, the Salmon Hills Outdoor Adventure Center on the Tug Hill Plateau has 30km of groomed cross country ski trails on Tug Hill Plateau.

To reach Salmon Hills Outdoor Adventure Center from US81, use the Pulaski Exit. Follow CR2 (Pulaski-Redfield Road) east through Richland and Orwell. Turn right heading south on Noble Shores Drive to the trailhead parking area.
