Enchanted Forest Ski Area

Northeast of Red River, the Enchanted Forest Ski Area has 30km of groomed cross country ski trails above 9,600 feet in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. There are vast sweeps of dark green forest engulfed by the Enchanted Circle of peaks -- this is the Enchanted Forest. There is a day lodge onsite.  MORE INFO

Capulin Cross Country Ski Center

East of Albuquerque and north of Tijeras on the east side of Sandia Peak, the Capulin XC Ski Area has 14 miles of groomed nordic ski trails. There are 18 nordic trails overall in this region. Make sure to call for up-to-date grooming schedule and current snow conditions.  MORE INFO

Norski Trail

Northeast of Santa Fe on the way to Santa Fe Basin alpine ski area, the NorSki Trail is a 4km loop rolling through aspen forests. The trailhead is on the left about a mile before the alpine ski area.  MORE INFO

Cordova Trail

South of Taos and northwest of Holman, the Agua Piedra Campground is a great base for exploring 13 miles of cross country skiing trails ranging from 8,400 feet to 11,400feet . The Cordova Trail (#17) heads southwest from the campground near the group picnic area.  MORE INFO

Agua Piedra Trail
