East of Salt Lake City in Park City, the White Pine Touring Center has 18km of groomed cross country ski trails for classical and skate skiing. These urban nordic trails weave through golf courses and along major roads.
Southeast of Salt Lake City in Big Cottonwood Canyon, the Solitude ski area at 8700 feet has 20km of cross country skiing trails superbly groomed for classical and skate skiing. The trails wind through the forested valley between Solitude and Brighton.
South of Midway and Soldiers Hollow, the Sundance Nordic Center has 24km of groomed cross country ski trails, all above 8,000. The trails start just above the alpine ski center and offers vistas of Mount Timpanogos towering above this tight valley of aspen and pine.
Near Midway in the Herber Valley, the Soldier Hollow nordic center is a 26km course built for the 2002 Winter Olympics. Soldier Hollow is located in Wasatch State Park, near Heber City.
