Southeast of Walden and south of Gould, there is an 80 mile snowmobile trail network rolling around 9,000 feet elevation. The routes run through forest and meadows to above treeline. This trail network connects to the south with the Grand County trail network.
Southwest of Walden, there is a snowmobile trail system running up to Buffalo Pass at the Continental Divide that is open to snowmobiling. The trail system consists of four trails and interconnects with the Rabbit Ears Trail System.
