North of LeRoy in McLean County, the Moraine View State Park has 8 miles of designated snowmobile trails which can be used from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. The looped trail system is situated in oak-hickory timber stands and gently rolling meadows. Parking, toilets and a warming shelter are available at the snowmobiling trailhead for Moraine View State Recreation Area.
The snowmobiling at Moraine View State Recreation Area is located 7 miles north of LeRoy. From I 74, Exit #149 at LeRoy. Follow signs into LeRoy. Turn left on US 150 to Casey General Store. Turn Right on LeRoy-Lexington blacktop (County Hwy. 21). North to sign (Moraine View State Park), next Right. Follow road into park, past main entrance to flagpole.
While snowmobiling Moraine View State Recreation Area, all snowmobiles must display a valid State of Illinois snowmobile registration sticker. This is required by both residents and non-residents.
