Northeast of Edmonton, the Bonnyville trail system has 200km of intermittently groomed, signed snowmobile trails. The Bonnyville snowmobile trails are maintained by the Bonnyville Snowdusters. The Iron Horse Trail also passes east-west just to the north of Bonnyville.

Overall, Bonnyville is the 13th most popular snowmobile trail of all 47 snowmobiling rides in Alberta. Several of the better snowmobile trails are nearby Bonnyville including Edson, Fort McMurray, Fort Saskatchewan, Swan, Grande Prairie and Athabasca.
