Southeast of Edmonton, the Battle River Trail system has 240km of intermittently groomed, signed snowmobile trails. The snowmobiling trails are maintained by the Iron Creek Snowmobile Club.

Overall, Battle River Trail is the 9th most popular snowmobile trail of all 47 snowmobiling rides in Alberta. Several of the better snowmobile trails are nearby Battle River Trail including Edson, Fort McMurray, Fort Saskatchewan, Swan, Grande Prairie and Athabasca.
