Northwest of Edmonton, the Grande Prairie trail system has 120km of intermittently groomed, partially signed snowmobile trails. The Grande Prairie snowmobile trails are maintained by the Swan City Snowmobile Club.

Overall, Grande Prairie is the 8th most popular snowmobile trail of all 47 snowmobiling rides in Alberta. Several of the better snowmobile trails are nearby Grande Prairie including Edson, Fort McMurray, Fort Saskatchewan, Swan, Athabasca and BonnyvilleBattle River Trail.
