Camden Hills State Park Snowmobiling

The 8th most popular snowmobile trail in Maine.

North of Camden, the 5,550 acre Camden State Park has 25 miles of trails open to snowmobiling. The Snowmobile Trail leads from Bald Rock Mountain down to Mount Battie. Most trails lead up to peaks.

To reach the snowmobiling at Camden Hills State Park from Portland, follow US95 north to US1 east. Once past Camden look for a sign on the left for the HQ (2 miles north of Camden on US1).

For snowmobiling near Camden and the rest of state, all riders, resident and non-resident alike, must register their snowmobiles in Maine to ride in Maine. Most of the registration money goes to the Snowmobile Trail Fund of the Department of Conservation. Registration information is available at (207) 287-2043. After registration, make sure to read the Maine Snowmobile Law Book. Note: it is illegal to ride ATVs on designated snowmobile trails.
