North of Newark and east of Vernon in Sussex County, the Wawayanda State Park has 7 miles of snowmobilie trails. The rolling routes offer nice views of mountains and valleys.

The main Wawayanda State Park entrance for snowmobiling is off Warwick Turnpike (aka Moe Road), which is south of Warwick, New York, off SR94.

While snowmobiling Wawayanda State Park, the snowmobile must be registered with the New Jersey MVC Agency. The driver does not need a permit or license, but the driver must be at least 14 years old and must wear an approved helmet.
