West of Park Falls in Rusk County, the 90,000 acre Flambeau River State Forest has 55 of trails open to snowmobiling.

While snowmobiling Flambeau River State Forest, the state of Wisconsin requires that all snowmobiles display a Wisconsin snowmobile registration decal. For non-residents, if the snowmobile is registered in another state, then they can purchase a non-resident snowmobilie trail pass.
