West of Brule, the 41,000 acre Brule River State Forest has plenty of trails for snowmobiling.

To reach the southern snowmobilng trailhead for Brule River State Forest (at the north end of Upper St Croix Lake) from the intersection of US 53 and CR A in Solon Springs go NE on CR A for 3.4 miles. Turn right staying on CR A and travel another .3 mile to parking and picnic area on right.

While snowmobiling Brule River State Forest, the state of Wisconsin requires that all snowmobiles display a Wisconsin snowmobile registration decal. For non-residents, if the snowmobile is registered in another state, then they can purchase a non-resident snowmobilie trail pass.

Overall, Brule River State Forest is the 2nd most popular snowmobile trail of all 29 snowmobiling rides in Wisconsin.
