North of La Grange in southeastern Wisconsin, the 30,000 acre Northern Unit of Kettle Moraine State Forest has a 33 mile Horse-Snowmobile Trail.

To reach the northern snowmobiling trailhead from the intersection on SR 67 and SR 23 in Plymouth, go west on SR 23 for 3 miles. Go right (north) on CR S for 1.5 miles. Park on the left.

While snowmobiling Kettle Moraine State Forest, the state of Wisconsin requires that all snowmobiles display a Wisconsin snowmobile registration decal. For non-residents, if the snowmobile is registered in another state, then they can purchase a non-resident snowmobilie trail pass.
