Big River State Park Snowmobiling

The 18th most popular snowmobile trail in Illinois.

Near Keithsburg, the 2,900 acre Big River State Park has plenty of snowmobile riding.

To reach the snowmobiling at Big River State Park from the south, east and west, start on SR164. The forest is well signed on SR164. Go north on the Oquawka-Keithsburg blacktop road for 9 miles. The office is located on the right.

For visitors coming from the north, take Highway 17 to Keithsburg. The forest is well signed on Highway 17. Turn left at Main Street and go to the next 4-way stop. Turn right (going south) and go 4 miles on the Oquawka-Keithsburg blacktop. The office is located on the left side of the road.

While snowmobiling Big River State Park, all snowmobiles must display a valid State of Illinois snowmobile registration sticker. This is required by both residents and non-residents.

Overall, Big River State Park is the 18th most popular snowmobile trail of all 18 snowmobiling rides in Illinois.
