Northeast of Chico, the Jonesville Snowmobile Area has 60 miles of designated snowmobiling trails divided into three loops.

The Jonesville Snowmobile Area is located about two miles east of the Cherry Hill Campground on the Butte Meadows Road (aka Humboldt Road), which is accessed via SR32.

Overall, Jonesville Snowmobile Area is the 9th most popular snowmobile trail of all 31 snowmobiling rides in California. Several of the better snowmobile trails are nearby Jonesville Snowmobile Area including Hot Springs Area, Bucks Lake , Hume Lake, Tule River / Hot Springs Area, Kaiser Pass Trailhead and Greenhorn Summit.
