Best Swain Mountain Snowmobiling

East of Redding, the Swain Mountain Snowmobile Area has 60 miles of designated snowmobiling trails divided into three loop trails.

The Swain Mountain Snowmobile Area is located just off of Lassen County Road A-21 approximately nine miles north of Westwood and can also be accessed from the Forest #10 Road just east of Chester.

Overall, Swain Mountain is the 12th most popular snowmobile trail of all 31 snowmobiling rides in California. Several of the better snowmobile trails are nearby Swain Mountain including Ashpan Snowmobile Area, China Wall / Foresthill Divide Winter Trails, Silver Bear , LaPorte and Morgan Summit.
