Northwest of Truckee and west of Sierraville, the Little Truckee Summit - Yuba Pass Winter Trail System has over 150 miles of groomed snowmobile trails. These trails are maintained by the California/Nevada Snowmobile Association.

The primary snowmobiling sno-park is at Yuba Pass, and a secondary parking area is plowed at Little Truckee Summit.

Overall, Yuba Pass Winter Trails is the 1st most popular snowmobile trail of all 31 snowmobiling rides in California. Several of the better snowmobile trails are nearby Yuba Pass Winter Trails including Little Truckee Summit Winter Trails, Lake Basin , Ebbetts Pass Area, Hope Valley Snow Park and Blackwood Canyon Sno-Park.
