Northeast of Boise in the Boise National Forest, the Idaho City area has 260 miles of groomed snowmobile trails at elevations ranging from 3,500 to 8,200 feet.

Overall, Idaho City is the 9th most popular snowmobile trail of all 19 snowmobiling rides in Idaho. Several of the better snowmobile trails are nearby Idaho City including Fairfield, West Mountain / Cascade and Lowman.
