East of Cooke City and southwest of Red Lodge in the Shoshone National Forest, the Beartooths have 32 miles of groomed snowmobile trails at elevations ranging from 7,500 to 11,000 feet.

Note: the State of Wyoming requires residents and non-residents to display an annual Wyoming snowmobile registration decal. The annual fee revenues are used by the Snowmobile Trails Fund for trail grooming and maintenance. Decals may be purchased by calling (877) 996-7275.

Overall, Beartooth Mountains is the 6th most popular snowmobile trail of all 16 snowmobiling rides in Wyoming.
