Off the eastern tip of the Upper Peninsula, Drummond Island is the largest freshwater island in the US. Drummond has over 50,000 acres of government land with over 100 miles of groomed snowmobile trails through hardwood and cedar forests.
Overall, Drummond Island is the 34th most popular snowmobile trail of all 36 snowmobiling rides in Michigan. Several of the better snowmobile trails are nearby Drummond Island including Houghton County, Keweenaw County, Chippewa County, Alger County, Baraga County and Iron County.
